Hans Smith founded Mystery Review in 2004. After graduating in Tourism and Business Administration, he was a marketing executive for: Dolfinarium Harderwijk, Sunair Tour Operator and the Sally Line.

He then continued his career as Operations Manager and Trainer for Disneyland in Paris, France.

After returning to the Netherlands he was asked to join the Management Team of Walibi Flevo. This to Disneyfy the Dutch amusement park.

In 2000, after the Walibi park was rebranded to Six Flags Holland, Hans decided it was time to have a go at private entrepreneurship.

 

In the meantime several organisations had asked him to train their staff and management using the Disney Philosophy. A natural follow-up of his training programs and activities i.e. to get managers and staff to move into the right direction, Hans started to use actual customer experiences rather than relying on professional mystery shoppers only.

 

A unique Mystery Shopping method was born! By being “mirrored” in a unique way, organisations were stimulated to have a closer look at their business practices.

This was the right moment to develop Mystery Reviews as an additional motivational instrument.

 

In 2007, Mystery Review started to interact with REACT Service. REACT is the operational name of Lodge Service Nederland ltd. Lodge was founded in 1968 and is the first Dutch based mystery shopping organisation to check franchise businesses, shop formulas including quality control.

Currently we are working with an enthusiastic office staff 14 and 100 professional mystery shoppers in the field.

 

In addition, we have a dynamic database comprising of 4000 mystery shoppers in order to offer our clients a wide variety of mystery shopping services.

 

Needless to say that we also offer the “classic” mystery shopping program executed by our professional mystery shoppers in order to guarantee that “trained eyes” check shop formulas, service standards and/or standard operating procedures.
